So over the last 2 months I've been fixing everything under the sun to improve my hesitation and sputtering problem, which popped up after pulling my plenum and replacing my injectors. First off I want everyone to know I'm making this thread to help others when they think all hope is lost...:) Here is a list in a rough order of parts replaced. -Injectors -NGK OEM spark plugs -All new coil packs -Injector connectors -ALL vacuum leaks found and fixed -Fuel filter -Fuel pump -TPS -Cleaned throttle bodies -Replaced coolant temp sensor -2 new O2 sensors -After all this there were about 4 trips to 4 different shops to pay for a "diagnosis" of the problem -Everyone one of them told me to replace something I've already replaced, which led me to believe they didn't know what the f*** they were talking about. -After sleeping on it for about a week...I thought to check the timing which I imagined would NOT need adjusting since I just did the timing belt/water pump job 10,000 miles ago. Anyways after checking it I found it was my timing was at about 9 degrees...I have NO idea why...since it was set to 15 degrees. But I adjusted it to 16 degrees and since then I have been able to go back to smoking mustangs and all these little ricer hondas in the area! So there you have it, even the most bleak outlooks may have a positive outcome. Things that your positive are in working order sometimes aren't and in my case was the culprit for a few months of unpleasurable Z driving. Also 2 things I highly recommend if they have not been done yet are a s2 ptu if you still have a s1, and relocating the damn knock sensor, my god Nissan had an epic fail on that one...Thanks and hope this helps others! Also if theres any fellow members in Wisconsin I'm looking to do my auto to 5 speed conversion this week and it would be great to find someone with experience with this, and yes I have ALL the conversion parts.
